I got myself out of bed at 5:15 AM to get up to Happy Valley the day after the snow covered most of Topa Topa hoping to see some dramatic lighting at dawn.  The angle of the sun in lake November/December is so low that there never was any direct sun rays hitting Topa Topa as I expected.  However, I did see the wonderful glow of dawn illuminate Happy Valley and the hills and valley below.
