This painting came out of our recent trip up to the Eastern Sierra where we stayed in a cabin on the Virginia Lakes. The June Lake Loop is just down the road, and is a beautiful valley with a gorgeous string of lakes; June Lake, Gull Lake, Silver Lake and Grant Lake. Early morning is the best golden light for this valley.
