There are a number of roads that connect our village of Volgelsheim to the rest of the Alsace Lorraine Valley.  It seems that we are

always coming a going which offers a variety of views of the valley.  However, the roads themselves have got my interest, and appears

that I have backed into a series of paintings; roads of the Alsace Lorraine.

The entire Alsace Lorraine Valley floor is quilted with countless corn fields.

They grow the corn mostly for livestock feed, and is not harvested for human consumption.

In the Fall season the corn fields dry completely making the valley milky gold.

The many roads that twist through the Alsace Lorraine Valley are tree lined.  I discovered that one of the main reasons for this is to have

shade provided for the horses of the early travelers across the Valley.

They are varied in specie; I look forward to seeing how they will change with the seasons.
