This view of the Southern Sierras is from the Owenyo Lone Pine rd.; which is on the Inyo side of the lower Owens
Valley . There are many dried flats that dot this entire region just above the Owens Lake.

Mid-November, shortly before the rain storms hit; Fort Independence displayed autumn colors in the tall stands of trees that are all through the little ranches of Fort Independence.

"BLACKROCK WETLANDS, OWENS VALLEY" , is smack dab in the middle of the Owens Valley about 5 miles north
east of Independence.

Latest effort from my recent trip to Independence. It appears that the upper Owens Valley now has
a great deal more water, wetland ponds and small creeks as a result of the water letting into the lower Owens River by the DWP.

Tonight, 6:30pm, Dec. 2nd, I will be on the U.S.C. television station's CU@USC interview program, live.
The university has their own television station that has various programing venues that go out to the
public via, internet: http://trojanvision.usc.edu/shows-3/cuusc-2/
They have a live 6:30 pm interview program that hosts various guests from a varity of fields.
The producers of the show contacted me about a month ago, and invited me to be on the show, and I
am looking forward to the opportunity to chat it up about the subject of representational painting.
